Re: Leegue of Legands
Playing as Akali has caused me to realize I don't like click skills XD
Getting a bead on a moving target with a touchpad can be a serious pain.
Edit: I think my actual problem is that I'm playing on a touchpad. That crucial second it takes to move my index from pad to left clicker is usually enough for an enemy champ to not be where my curser is anymore.

Re: Leegue of Legands
I use a touchpad with my middle finger and click with the index or whatever is most convenient at the tie. You could do that, or you could use a mouse, which is what you should do. I can't stress that enough. Use a mouse. League is not conducive to touchpads, I don't care how theoretically possible it is.

Re: Leegue of Legands
I actually had a mouse tucked away, and pulled it out.
And damn, the difference isn't even funny. I played so much better with it.
The end of the last game I got into was a little depressing. Overall I think our team was better, but the other team had a Smurf Thresh that just wouldn't freaking die.

Re: Leegue of Legands
Akali's not free no more, so I went to Riven. Despite me only just using her for my first time, the other team failed to stop me from building up power.
It got to the point where I could merrily slaughter enemy champs unopposed unless I faced practically all of them at once.
I enjoyed that

Re: Leegue of Legands
It's kinda annoying playing League with other teammates who don't know anything about supporting teammates or phases beyond the laning phase.
I had a freaking awesome game with Riven in which I went 17/4 (that's over half my team's kills) but they still beat us because my team failed to act as a team.
I went mid early on but the enemy had two champs on mid. Using Riven's Q and E I managed to get a pretty good time in poking and retreating, and I managed to keep level with them, but I couldn't break. For the first several minutes I kept asking another champ to gank one of theirs on mid so I could break, but it was a long time before our Ashe finally bothered to come.
(Unfortunately, said Ashe spent the first chunk of game feeding the enemy Ashe, which contributed to our defeat, and she spent the latter half of the game disconnecting, which made things funner)
After I finally hit my stride and got to where I could wade in and knock enemy champs down with ease (aside from their fed Ashe, natch) the rest of my team seemed to think only the Laning phase exists, because they kept trying to charge down lanes solo and wouldn't bother trying to team up.
So yeah, that stunk :/
It's kinda depressing that I always seem to shine when I'm paired with a lousy team.
On the plus side, in the after-battle chat I got some praise from the other team for my DPS and two Honorable Opponent honors :)I like to think they realized I was basically carrying everyone else >_>
(Like I said, I got half our total kills. We were down by over ten kills by the time I was powered up)

That happens a lot you'll come to find; every one will have a bad game now and then, but it's very frustrating when it seems like you always get paired with the teammates that have their horrible games. Lol

Re: Leegue of Legands
I left a game today because my family got home from the beach early. First time leaving and Riot hit me over the head and put me on leaver level 1.
I wish somebody had warned me that LoL has a zero-tolerance policy for leaving.

Like, I've left quite a few games (maybe the game excuses me for profuse lag). That's never happened to me. Elite mentioned that basically everyone might have reported you for the leave.

I think I'm gonna buy Riven before saving up again for Ahri. After playing several games as her there's very little I don't like about her, even down to her character

Re: Leegue of Legands
Rivin was Elite's first character. I think he regretted such an expensive first buy (but he also didn't play test her a lot). You could have a bunch of 450 champs and/or a fair number of 1350's instead of rivin, which you might find more satisfying.
But yeah I agree she's pretty cool. I'm debating getting her or braum.

Re: Leegue of Legands
Wound up facing an Ahri and Taric solo at top today, but neither of them were very good. With that, i turned a bad situation into an opening for me to feed on them, and I ended the game at 19/1/8
The other team's Leblanc (who was getting a lot of kills on my team before I got built and began killing her easily) got pissed at me at one point and began going on about "**** you Riven" on the all-chat XD
There's something invigorating when you see enemy champs run away every time you approach and they haven't got backup XD

Re: Leegue of Legands
with Sona and Nami available, I thought I might try doing some Support play. Which girl would be better to begin with?

Re: Leegue of Legands
I'd say Sona is slightly easier to play, however, Nami is a safer pick for the current meta of champions. Depends on what you like for your play-style; they both have a lot of utility abilities (Sona: power buff, heal, movement speed buff, aoe stun ult) and (Nami: stun skill-shot, heal, auto attack buff, aoe slow ult [all abilities granting a small movement speed buff when used on an ally].) So it's up to you; when the time comes for Leona, Thresh, or Morgana are free, those will be more of the frequently picked supports in the current meta.
