    The Story of Sir Vissen:

Long ago Sir Vissen existed as a humble knight of the long forgotten fish clan. He adventured far and wide with his most trusted comrade Sir Lupin of the wolf clan. They held good as the highest order and spread peace throughout the land. One day the valiant duo came across a wondrous monastery in an area of the woods they thought to be abandoned. Lupin had heard rumors of a mysterious church housing cultists but he thought nothing of it. Unfortunately for the pair, the hour was late and their horses exhausted. They hoped whatever sect inhabited the building would offer a warm meal and sanctuary for the night.

Upon entering the monastery they discovered an even more wondrous interior. Stark white only put off by the many works of art adorned on the wall. Huge murals of war and peace, angles and demons. As they examined the artistic brilliance their eyes couldn't help but wonder to the far end of the chapel. There stood a simple sword encased in stone. As the knights approached Lupin noticed a weird symbol on the sword, a spiked gauntlet holding arrows. Without a moment of hesitation Lupin drew an arrow from his pack, Sliced his palm and drew the sword from the stone.

Lupin explained that the symbol meant nothing other than that a blood pact was required for binding mortals to  legendary weapons. Vissen awed in amazement as the long sword shifted into a Broadsword right before his very eyes. A voice then rung out echoing throughout the monastery. It welcomed it's new champions by it's side and demanded that it slay only evil. Lupin thrust the sword into the sky and started to absorb it's power. Lupin grew nearly a foot, his skin turned grey and his muscles rippled and grew. Two sharp tusks jut from his face and he declared the ritual a success. Vissen worryed for his friend but was reassured after Lupin suggested they they were finally powerful enough to end the evil king Baham's reign over the kingdom.

Baham's story is of valor and corruption. Former shaman of the dragon clan, Baham excelled in both Melee and magic. Growing up as a noble dragon, Baham was taught that honor, power, and wealth were more important than anything else in the world. Seeking power, Baham joined the dragon's shamanic institution. He excelled in every subject and very quickly became the dragon's youngest shaman. After learning everything the gods had to offer he quickly grew bored. Seeking power, Baham left the dragon clan for Capital City. He took most of his families wealth with him and lived like a king. He soon made a name for himself. He made deals, bribed officials, and did anything he could to grab at and kind of power. He became an activist, earning the love of the people. He became captain of the guard, earning the love of his fellow warriors. He became a Councilmen, earning the love of his fellow nobles. He then became the King's adviser, earning his love.

Soon tragedy engulfed the kingdom. Their beloved leader was poisoned. With the king having no children or formal heir, the kingdom fell into the hands of the beloved King's adviser. Baham skillfully disposed of any evidence that linked him to regicide and quickly set the second half of his plan in action. A week ago he had organized a dragon raid of wolf clan. The dragon assassins slaughtered the unsuspecting guard patrol and took their captain hostage. Baham exclaimed in celebration that the murderer had been caught and the wolf captain was hanged. Seeking wealth, Baham took this unique opportunity to ride the growing hated bandwagon. He rallied his people against the wolf clan and with the help of dragon clan took much of the wolf's land and wealth. Beaten and humiliated for a crime they didn't commit the wolf clan was forced to retreat to the very corners of their territory. Wolf clan would have disappeared entirely if it wan't for the overwhelming support from the rhino clan. Eventually against the wishes of baham, his kingdom grew tired of war. The clan were becoming enraged with the new king's bloodlust and began embargoing their trade goods. The people grew desperate and through overwhelming support from everyone but the king, peace was declared. The kingdom eventually pardoned the wolf clan and gave only a few meager reparations for the slaughter. Wolf clan never forgot the betrayal.

Vissen lead by Lupin ripped their way through the castle searching for the kings chamber. The king was urged to flee but alas he could decline this duel, he valued honor in battle above all else. Lupin resembled that of a god whilst slicing through the endless hordes of guards. The two knights eventually found the throne room. It was empty and quiet. As they entered Lupin's sword reacted in an instant shielding Him from an arrow shot from behind him, Vissen wasn't as lucky. Seeing his comrade fall sent Lupin into a catastrophic rage. He mindlessly slaughtered every dragon assassin set against him. He slaughtered every fleeing guard. He slaughtered every panicked citizen in his way. He eventually found the king in his personal armory adored in the finest armour money could buy. The king shone like a god against the blackened aura now enveloping Lupin. Baham believed himself a deity, never to fall against the likes of any mortal. As such, he ordered his family and the rest of his guard to witness his glorious triumph over the evil that has invaded his castle.

Vissen soon regained consciousness and stumbled back onto his feet. His wound hurt but he had to discover the victor of this battle. He encountered silence and corpses wherever he went. He followed the trail of death to the armory. He walked into the armory only to fall to his knees and retch at what he saw. Now instead of armour the room only contained a pile of mutilated bodies nearly 10ft tall adorned with the mangled skull of the former king sitting majestically on top. Vissen Returned to the fish clan to heal and plan his search for his friend. Upon returning he heard stories of the demon that invaded capital city. The regicide was deemed a great tragedy and the king and his family this tragedy's victims. Vissen had failed.

Vissen had no one anymore. No idea what to do or how to go about it so he set off to outset island, an island said to house the fish god himself. He found a boat, found the island, and found the fish god's shrine. Vissen pleaded for any assistance. To his surprise an elf materialized before him, he knew this to be his diety. The elf told him that an evil God had corrupted the mighty sword Excalibur and that his friend was now brainwashed tool of pure evil. The elf told him that the only way to stop Lupin was to seek the gnome God Glittergold and earn his blessing.

Without hesitation Vissen journeyed to the land of the gnomes and became a disciple under glittergold. He leaned on the Gods trickery and wondered why it was he was here. The fish God surly had a plan. He was instantly recognized and welcomed due to his overwhelming devotion. He went on many quests and did anything he could to please this god. He rose through the ranks of the clergy and eventually achieved the title of Star Sapphire, the highest ranking the the church. He was eventually contacted by Glittergold himself. The gnome appeared before him quite confused. He wondered why a man so loyal to his previous deity would seek another. Vissen told the God his story and the gnome understood why the fish God had sent him here. He agreed to help Vissen and told him to journey to the dragon clan as his fish God was waiting for him there.

Vissen arrived to only blood and ash. A trail of destruction had swept across the dragon lands. Vissen's hatred towards his best friend grew as he trudged through the destruction of the former dragon heartland. Entire farming villages mercilessly slaughtered. Women cut down in the streets. Children stabbed in their own beds. Vissen readied himself for he knew what lie waiting in the dragon's capital.

The capital fared no better than any of the farming villages. Not a single survivor. Vissen found and entered that shaman's chamber. He called out to Lupin but was only answered by a guttural roar. The servant of Hextor bust from the back room and was instantly on the fish knight. The demon's initial thrust easily had enough force to pierce Vissen's plate mail and spear his heart but was at the last second deflected by a symbol of the fish god that had appeared on vissen's chest piece. The demon moved to continue his assault but was forced to dodge rather strike as an ice missile shot from the far corner of the room narrowly misses. Once again the elf had materialized but this time in full battle regalia. In an instant the Demon was on the elf in a flurry of strikes and misses. The two never seemed to tire as a seemingly infinite number of blows and misses were traded. Vissen tried to assist the elf the best he could but found no way past Lupin's now enhanced defenses. The more the demon fought, the brighter his aura became until in one final bust of power the demon violently shattered into rock and flame sending both Vissen and the elf flying backing into the rubble.

After removing the rubble that pinned him to the floor, Vessen stood to find only the demon left in the room. This best friend glaring and snarling at him. Lupid hardly even resembled his former self, altered by the evil power emanating from that terrible sword. and that's when he realized that his was missing. So he stood there, defenseless, accepting his fate, waiting for whatever was to come. Slowly the demon approached. Vissen felt all light and hope fade more and more every step. Never would he have believed his once beloved friend should also be his executioner. The time came and the demon raised his sword.

A thousand screams echo throughout the chamber as Vissen is flung back into the southern wall wall. He stands to see only darkness. In an instant the elf appears once again before him. The deity is a shimmering spec of light in the surrounding darkness. "Embrace me child so that our power may be as one." As vissen starts to sprint towards his God the darkness fades and the demon returns. This was the last the fish knight ever saw of his Deity. The elf lay motionless, Lupin's sword through his chest. Holy fury fills the knight as he charges towards the demon. He can feel his God; he is with his God. He grasps, draws and readies the sword of pure light placed within his sheath, a final parting give of the elf. In a single movement, Vissen thrusts his sword through his best friend's chest.

The beast lets out a final roar and falls to the ground defeated. His sword drops beside him and quickly attempts to dart away before being trapped by a shimmering gold net. He approached the sword as a voice echoed in the room "Return the sword to its resting place or the evil shall revive" After a decade of searching, rumors once again arise that mysterious building lies await in the southern woods. Vissen enters the monastery to find a gnome standing on the alter. He welcomes Vissen and asks about the evil sword bound in light. The gnome explains how the corrupted sword cannot be destroyed only suppressed. As he grasp the sword the gnome's body becomes twisted and deformed. He seems to almost melt into the sword as the weapon merges with him. A quick flash of light and the ritual is completed. The God gives a shout and thrusts the sword Back into it's eternal resting place, the spiked gauntlet replaced with a Golden nugget.
