    Recap: Two men appear in a forest. Starting duties:
    Player 1: bang wood and rocks together trying to make something
    Player 2: hit small animals with big rocks and feast on their innards

    Half a month later: 


    Player 1: Finally able to attach a rock to a piece of wood. Great Success
    Player 2: Still hitting small animals with big rocks and feasting on their innards

    Notable changes: 

    REMAKE: water system, Gobo pop growth, camp detection, enmy ambush system

    MODIFY: Starting stats(inc int), stealth system, hunting food amount(droughts/ desieseses)

    ADD: Devotion

    I don't see why not (anything can be put together. that meat can be eaten, used as a club, or even worn as protective gear)

    so for the abilities here are some ideas, just curious how they would work before choosing them

    1) what would something like skill focus actually do?

    2) would having something like unarmed strike be possible and would it increase as i got better with it?

    3) would having an animal companion be an option?

    4) could i have a crafting ability that reduces crafting time?

    5) is magic a thing?

    1. Increase your chance to earn a skill point when doing the thing (amoung other things)

    2. Yes, your fists would take the place of weapons and how they get better, they would scale slower but be better overall with the added benefit of not having to buy/craft/suffer break chance of a weapon(the negatives would look overwelming at first)

    3. Yes, they would be considered a combat follower(My combat system remains untested). They could also learn to help you in certain skills.

    4. That would be part of skill focus(or part of something similar). sometimes being too specific limits what I can do with it.

    5. Yes, You master lit like a weapon or active ability depending on the spell.
    You can cast d&d equivalent 1st level spells with your first ability slot, 2nd level spells with your second slot ect.
    These scale as well and may have component costs

    It was a hidden stat last game.

    New stats are:
    Devotion: Your blessing level of the order Goddess
    Rage: Your blessing level of the chaos Demon 

    Feel free to make abilities that play off the Gods

    I'm assuming the Devotion and Primal stats will remain hidden during game play? no ways to put stats into them during character creation.

    is wild shaping a possible ability? if so, would a wild shaping skill based off of Devotion or Primal be possible? it would be like slowly turning into a demon or an angel and the more powerful your ability got and the more points you got into the corresponding skill, the more powerful of a form you could take.

    Ok, so we are all men then? so no need for women to expand the tribe? that good i can be more like the character i wanted then.

    Also what about the two abilities i have. I want to rework them a bit better if you have any ideas. As for the eating of someones heart I figure that probably play into Primal quite heavily.

    Would multiple animal companions be available? Like if i change my primary ability to something like PACK HUNTER and i can have a pack of wolves or hyenas or something. Id assume youd just treat them as one entity for combat purposes.

    From what I experienced last game we don't really have levels. It's all based on the stats and skills. So your weapon ability might be better as, "I'm really good with smashing weapons or I'm better with ranged weapons then the average person."

    As for the all men thing...
    1) How date you assume my gender Wink
    2) Yah, I'm pretty sure we are all men at the start and the tribe can be expanded 2 ways. Either by finding other people to join us or finding women to make babies. 
    Me and Noble never found a woman and our rescue attempt on the only other human we found only half worked. Noble freed the guy and the guy ran, never found him after that

    Gonna be a mage and I want the abilities magic missile and cure moderate wounds. Was going to put all my points in Int for a neat 0. I'll post it later when the internet come back at the office =/

    Solon "I never want to roll a hunting again" Phidias:

    1. Thought Rock - Solon can launch rocks of pure thought at his enemies. He'd get a more solid rock with a better focus medium and might be able to launch it faster with more force of thought.

    2. Life flow - Solon can see the faint lines left by the flow of vitality within his fellow tribesmen. Blessed by the Goddess, Solon can take advantage of this to apply medicinal balm in combat and have it immediately take effect. This ability requires a material component.
    Bonus: Heal amount: 1.5(Wis+Devotion-Rage)+Perception/3* Skill/2*
    *Will probably change
    *It already has


    Devotion and Rage will be viewable stats and come into play often.

    new skill added:

    Loot: Taking advantage of risky situations for tribal gain

    Craft: trade goods changed to Craft: Treasures

    Note: Life is hard for a smart tribesmen~

    Having trouble deciding my second ability. Stuck between these 2. Could you describe how they'd work in game?

    Master Gatherer: whenever I go gather a resource, food, stone, or lumber. There's a chance that I bring back more then I expected too. 

    2 Birds with 1 Stone: whenever I pick my job for the day I can choose one additional job to do. Both numbers are greatly reduced, but I accomplish a little bit of each. Ex. I choose to hunt and gather wood in the morning. Both the food and the wood I bring back are reduced by half if not more

    The first ability there kind of already describes the resource crit system. it would just give you improvements to that, nothing to special 

    The second ability is very much preferable and would probably benefit you in multiple areas of the game. You described 1/2 of it already but there would also be a combat boon with it.

    With my second ability, when I use it how would the random stat/skill growth work? Would it only wor on which ever one I deemed primary? Would it have a very slim chance to trigger on both? Or would I be opting out of improvement when I used it?

    You would be combining both actions into one so you would be choosing a primary and secondary and only have a change to increase on the primary.

    Your first ability has been renamed: Monuments of the Goddess


    Stone shape is fine

    Summoning animals would scale off of Rage(of which you want very little)
